Descendants of Francis WRIGHTSON & Hanna WHITE

Francis and Hanna were married in Yorkhire, England and emigrated to Canada with at least six children. They settled on Lot 23, Con 4 of Bruce Township, Bruce County in 1854. Two more children were born to them in Bruce County. Hanna passed away in 1973 and Francis remarried Jane DENT in 1880. Francis and Jane had six children.

Joseph WRIGHTSON, 1870-1962, grandson of Francis and Hanna, was an expert barn raiser who lived in Glammis. Joeseph framed about 305 barns in the area. Being a craftsman he also built 111 sets of sleighs, violins, guitars and other specialty items.
