Descendants of James BRUCE & Elizabeth Crawford McNARE

James and Elizabeth were married in Hamilton, Lanarkshire, Scotland and all their children were apparently born there. About 1850 James and Elizabeth along with at least three of their children emigrated to Upper Canada where they first settled in Etobicoke, York County and by 1860 James had relocated to Lot 57, Con 2 NDR, Brant Township, Bruce County just three miles east of Walkerton.
By 1867 son Robert was farming on Lot 50, Con 2 NDR, Brant Twp. John was a merchant in Walkerton and William C. who married Elizabeth DAVIE was a merchant in Paisley. See advertisements below.
