Descendants of David BLACK & Catherine LEYS

David BLACK 1775-1857 married Catheine LEYS in the Parish of Ellon, Aberdeenshire, Scotland in 1812. As a farmer David worked 146 acres at Newton of Fechil, a farm 2 km southeast of the Town of Ellon. Catherine and David had at least nine children, three of which died as infants. Thier daughter Margaret 1818-1878 married William TAYLOR of Ellon in 1848 and thier advenrurist daughter Catherine 1848-1934 accompanied her uncle Davie BLACK on a trip to Canada in 1876 where she met William LAMB. They were married in Greenock Towship, Bruce County on October 31, 1877.
