Stuart REAVIE served as a councillor and reeve of Lucknow before the village was amalgamated in 1999. That year, he was elected the first mayor of the new Township of Huron-Kinloss. He also served as Warden of Bruce County for three terms, retiring from politics in 2003. In addition, he owned and operated Reavie Farm Equipment in Lucknow for 32 years. He was also a former member of both the Lucknow Lions Club and Fire Department as well as the Masonic Lodge, served on the Wingham & District Hospital Foundation board, and was an active member of the Lucknow United Church. In retirement Stuart maintained a keen interest in his community and local agriculture.
