Rhody Cooper, born in 1860, was the son of James Cooper, and Eliza Jane Stringer. Rhody was raised in the Lucan area but came to Greenock Township with some cousins, when he was about 13 or 14 years old. He worked for a farmer by the name of Shaw, later he bought the Shaw farm, Lot 31, Con. 10. Isaac was a farmer and married Mabel Stanley in 1912. They went to Saskatchewan, took up a homestead and lived there for seven years. They came back to Greenock Township in 1919 and raised a family of eight children: Beulah, Stanley, Wilmer, jack, Francis, Elroy, Alvin and Dorothy. In 1920 they bought the Tom Splan's farm across the sideroad from his father's farm. In 1924 they moved to their new home on Lot 30, Con. 10 and farmed there until Isaac's death in 1950.
