Roderick Glancy and his wife, Bridget Scanlon, left Sligo, Ireland in 1853, arriving in Upper Canada with at least three sons, Patrick, Michael and Rodger. They all settled on Consession A of Brant Township, Bruce County, Ontario, occupying Lots 11 and 12, SW of the Dunkeld Post Office. The family eventually changed the spelling of their surname to CLANCY. |
