Beloved husband of Pauline Saunders (nee Burke) of Rochester. Dear father of William of Japan and Allan and his wife Shelly of Hilton, New York. Proud grandfather of Michael, Heather, Nikki, Yulia and great grandfather of Brenden. Also survived by his sister-in-law Jane Johnston of Southampton Ontario and by his brother-in-law Douglas Burke of Ottawa, Ontario. Predeceased by his parents William and Gertrude Saunders, by his sister, Margaret and by his brother, William. Vern was a dedicated employee of Eastman Kodak, Rochester, retiring after 35 years of service and was an avid curler and hiker, who was a member of the Adirondacks 46ers Club, having climbed all 46 peaks of the Adirondacks. Vern was a Past Master of Valley #109 Masonic Lodge, Rochester and for 40 years loved to sing with his Barber Shop friends.
