Elizabeth married Guillaume DAOUST, son of Guillaume DAOUST and Marie Magdeleine DELONDE, on January 7, 1715 in Pointe-Claire, Montréal, Québec, Canada. Guillaume was born on October 29, 1694 in Lachine, Montreal, Québec, Canada and died 21 JAN 1784 • in Pointe-Claire, Montréal, Québec, Canada aged 89.

8. Mathieu PILON (Antoine1) was born on April 5, 1700 in Lachine, Montreal, Québec, Canada and died on April 11, 1780 in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, Montréal, Québec, Canada aged 80.

Baptized in Lachine, he died in Ste-Anne de Bellevue and was buried in Pointe-Claire. It should be noted that all these communities were located close to each other and they were at the point of departure for travelers destined for the countries above. It is therefore not surprising to note four commitments by Mathieu Pilon. The first would have taken place the year before his marriage to Marie Josephte Daoust in 1723-4 and the other three a few years later, in 1737, 1739 and 1741. Together, Marie Josepthe and Mathieu had 12 children.

Mathieu married Marie Josephe DAOUST, daughter of Guillaume DAOUST and Madeleine LALONDE, on February 28, 1724 in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, Montréal, Québec, Canada. Marie was born on September 13, 1691 in Lachine, Montreal, Québec, Canada and died on March 29, 1773 in Pointe-Claire, Montréal, Québec, Canada aged 81.

Baptized in Lachine, he was buried in Pointe-Claire. Antoine and Marie-Josephte Roy, whom he married in 1729, had 16 children together. The name of Antoine Pilon appears with the greatest frequency (at least 27 times) among the commitments for the pays d'en haut.The Pays d'en Haut wasthe territory of New France covering the regions of North America located west of Montreal. The vast territory included most of the Great Lakes region, expanding west and south over time into the North American continent as the French had exploredThese engagements are spread out between 1727 and 1812. It is therefore certain that the Antoine in question here did not undertake all the journeys enumerated, but we are justified in believing that he could be the subject of the engagement. of 1727 and perhaps some of the engagements of the 1730s. The only real break in the sequence takes place after 1756. We will not find Antoine Pilon before 1801. But who would be these other Antoine? The only other candidates is the son of Jacques and this one does not come into the world until 1743 and his own son who is born in 1737!
