2. Frederick HETZLER (Johan Balthasar1) was born on January 11, 1757 in , Lancaster Co, Pennsylvania, USA,1 died on April 29, 1835 in Scottsville, Monroe, New York, USA1 aged 78, and was buried in Scottsville, Monroe, New York, USA.

Shortly after the birth of his first children, Frederick moved his family from Lancaster County, first to Chester County, Pennsylvania (1783-1787), and then on to New York State. He settled in Geneva Township, near Seneca Lake in what was then Ontario County. During 1795 his brother Nicholas, sister Barbery and husband Dr. Frederick Deutsch, and Uncle Jacob had moved northward to the Finger Lakes region of Ontario County, New York. They settled near Lake Canandaigua at Middlesex Township where Nicholas and his brother-in-law Dr. Deutsch helped found the Voak Methodist Church in that region. [Presently the church is named St. John's Evangelical Luthern Church at Potter, Yates County, New York.] Frederick made considerable improvements on the Geneva lands which proved to be soilders rights lands and from which he was then compelled to move to Genesee County, New York. He thereafter secured lands near Rochester, Monroe County, New York in Scottsville, Wheatland. His brother Nicholas Hetchler moved from the town of Augusta, Ontario County, New York, and settled at the town of Caledonia, Genesee County, New York.
