WED AT EDEN GROVE

Eden Grove United Church on June 24, 1967 at 2:30 pm formed the setting for the marriage of Miss Katherine Louise Watson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Watson of RR 2, Eden Grove, and Case John Vanderplas, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Vanderplas of Paisley.
Rev. Lorne Keays of Paisley officiated, assisted by Pastor Alfred Fry of Cargill.
The church decorations were yellow and white snapdragons with yellow chrysanthemums. Miss Carol Pilgrim of Eden Grove was organist, and Pastor Fry sang "How Great Thou Art" and "0 Perfect Love."
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an Empire line dress of Chantilly lace, with scalloped sleeves

and neckline. A watteau train fell from
her shoulders. Rosebuds and petals held her fourtiered nylon illusion veil. She carried a bouquet of yellow roses and white carnations.
Maid of honor was Miss Barbara Wilson of Guelph , wearing a maize colored dress. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Hugh Watt of Drayton and Miss Joan Pegelo of London. They wore aqua dresses. The gowns of satapeau were on Empress lines, with scooped neckline and lantern sleeves. The fitted bodices were trimmed with matching lace.A watteau panel fell from the back neckline to the hem line. Matching bows with pouf veils were chosen for head pieces. Each carried a basket of

yellow roses and white carnations. Groomsman was Douglas McArthur of Burlington . Ushers were Ronald Abbs of Paisley and Bob Watson, brother of the bride.
A reception was held in the Cargill United Church . The bride's mother received, in a turquoise linen dress with matching lace coat and a pink and white carnation corsage. The groom's mother assisted, in a pink dress with matching lace coat and a deep pink carnation corsage.
The bride's going away outfit was a yellow linen dress and matching linen coat with white accessories and a corsage of green cymbidium orchids. The couple will reside in Don Mills.
