Christina "Stien" GUTTER

Stien worked for her father delivering milk door to door as a teenager in Schoorl. After her marriage to Jan van der PLAS they continued to operate the Melkhandel until their relocation to Canada in 1949. Stien worked at the Paisley Creamery grading eggs until 1958 when they purchased the 5c - $1.00 Store in Paisley from Wally Gregg. Stien operated this store until they retired in 1978.

Christina married Jan Cornelis "John" van der PLAS, son of Cornelis Jan "Cor" van der PLAS and Jansje J. DEKKER, on September 22, 1942 in Bergen, , Noord-Holland, Netherlands. (Jan Cornelis "John" van der PLAS was born on June 22, 1912 in Bergen, , Noord-Holland, Netherlands, died on July 31, 1989 in Paisley, Bruce Co, Ontario, Canada and was buried in Starkvale Cemetery Paisley, Bruce Co, Ontario, Canada.)
