Edward THOMPSON and Ann CARRUTERS were married in Lanark, Scotland in 1859. In 1870 Edward and Ann along with atleast five of their children emigrated to Canada. They settled in Gillies Hill, Lot 19, Con. 7 of Elderslie Township, Bruce, County, Ontario were the rest of the family was born and raised.
