Robert and Elizabeth left Ireland for Canada in 1850 with four sons William, George, Robert and John.Uunfortunately William and George did not survive the voyage across the Atlantic. The family spent their first couple of years in Esquesing Twp, Halton County were James and David were born and in 1855 they relocated to Lot 1, Con A of Elderslie where some of their descendants still live today.
