John and Elizabeth were married in England and emigrated to Canada abt 1840 with at least four of their children. They settled in Chincagousy Twp, Peel County, Ontario. Their son Joseph and wife Ellen GRAHAM were the first to migrate to Kinloss Twp, Bruce County in the late 1850's and his parents soon followed as did his sister Martha who had married James CARLETON .
