Robert and Christian emigrated from Scotland about 1848 and settled in Normanby Twp. In the early 1850's they relocated to Lot 1 on the 2nd Con of Elderslie. Their son Henry farmed on Lot 2, Con 2 and their daughter Christina who had married Thomas ORCHARD also moved into the area.
