Brockie. In October of the same year she married William Lamb, who predeceased her in July, 1921. She is survived by three sons and four daughters: William, of Sedgewick, Alta.; John of Craigmyle, Alta.; Mrs. Wm. Alexander (Susie) of Macklin, Sask.; Mrs. Henry Baker (Maggie) of Sedgewick, Alta.; David and Mrs. John Kincaid (Lizzie) on the home farm, and Mrs. Marshall Watson (Catherine), Elora Road south.
The deceased was the last one of the old generation of early settlers in the district, and will be remembered as a person of most kindly nature, who was on friendly and amicable terms with her neighbours and acquaintances during all the many years she resided in the community. Those from a distance who attended the funeral on Wednesday were: Mr. Kenneth Skinner, Mr. Ernie Gate, from Port Credit; Mr. and Mrs. John Brockie from Trout Creek.

She emigrated with her Uncle Davie Black to Greenock Twp, Bruce Co, in January 1877 from Ellon, , Aberdeen, Scotland. 1

OBITUARY FOR WILLIAM LAMB : Paisley Advocate
The last of the venerable group of Aberdeen farmers; the Leasks, Lambs, Dalgarnos, Brockies, et al, who, settled in the Gore of Greenock in the early fifties of the last century, passed to his reward on Friday last when William Lamb succumbed to an extended illness from paralysis. The deceased was born in the parish of Ellon, Aberdeen, Scotland, on July 11th, 1839, and was just one week short of his 82nd birthday. He was the youngest son of the late Alexander Lamb, who came with his family to Canada in 1855, and after living a few months in Fergus came up to the new lands in Greenock. Wm. took up lot 37, con A, where he wrought out a pioneer home and there lived for the remainder of his life. In 1877 he married Catherine Taylor, who survives him with a family of four daughters and three sons: William and Mrs. Henry Baker (Maggie) at Sedgewick, Alberta; John James of Craigmyle, Alberta; Mrs. Wm. Alexander (Susan) at Macklin, Sask.; Mrs. Marshall Watson (Kate) of Elora Road South; David and Lizzie at home. Mr. Lamb had been for many years one of the most active members and a director on the board of management of Paisley Fair. Although he never took any personal part in other public affairs, he was intelligently posted in all matters in which citizens should be concerned. He was a Liberal in politics and a Presbyterian in religion. His passing marks an entirely new era in the sphere of everyday life in the community in which he and others mentioned were the most prominent figures for nearly fifty years. Friendly and neighbourly in his relations with the people of the section and of most honorable character, he was universally respected by those who knew him. The funeral took place on Saturday afternoon to Douglas Hill Cemetery and was attended by a very large number of old friends, acquaintances and neighbours. The services were conducted by Rev. D.H. McCuaig, of Paisley in the absence of the pastor of Pinkerton and Cargill Presbyterian Churches, with which congregations the deceased had been connected since the early days. The family, also his remaining sister, Miss Lamb, who is in her 85th year, have the sympathy of all in their bereavement.

DAVID A. LAMB RELOCATES TO STREETSVILLE
from The Paisley Advocate:
David A. Lamb, who recently sold the old family farm, lots 36 & 37, Con A, Greenock Twp, to his nephew, Jack Watson, left on Monday to join his brother-in -law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Kincaid on their new location, a small farm near Streetsville. His going marks the erasure of a most familiar and widely known name from the list of residents of the district. To many oldtimers it will also bring to mind a particular group of "Auld Kirk" families who came from Elora section to the Gore township about 1865 - the Brockies, Dalgarnos, Leasks, David Black and perhaps others, who were long prominent in the life of the community. A special feature of the farming operations of this group was the raising of roots for cattle feed and they took a deep interest in the promotion and maintenance of the Paisley fall fair from its earliest years. The late
Louis (bachelor) and William Lamb (father of David) were on the board of directors of the fair for several decades of their active lives.
From a pioneer's dense woods holding of over 80 years ago the Lamb farm became in the intervening years one of the most attractive rural properties in the district, in latter years having a flower bedecked driveway entrance that made it a place of special notice. Mr. Lamb informs us that the credit for this decorative improvement belongs to Mr. and Mrs. Kincaid who shared the home with him. Their many friends extend best whishes that their new environment may be equally pleasant and that they may have many years of life in which to enjoy it.
