Jansje operated Pension Roozenoord at Guurtjeslaan 3 in Bergen HN. She retired when her daughter Miep took over in the early 40's. Jansje and her husband moved into "Ivy Garden" next door. In the early 50's she and her husband planned a trip to Canada to visit the son Jan. Unfortunately her husband Cor passed away in 1952 before he could make the trip. Jansje went to Canada by herself in 1953.

Albert operated the Bakery started by is father in Sint Pancras until about 1922 when the family relocated to Schoorl. Jannetje ran Pension Christina and Albert started a Melkhandel (Dairy) providing milk home delivery. In 1925 they moved to “Huize Torenweg”, another Pension in Schoorl. In 1934 they purchased a storefront on the main street in Schoorl and ran the Melkhandel out of there until Albert died in 1941 and Jan and Stien (Albert's daughter) van der PLAS took over.

Albert married Jannetje MOLENAAR, daughter of Aldert MOLENAAR and Jannetje KRABMAN, on October 22, 1909 in Broek op Langedijk, , Noord-Holland, Netherlands.
