General Notes: After their marriage in 1942 Jan & Stien operated a Melkhandel in Schoorl. In 1949 they emigrated to Canada where John worked at the Paisley Creamery, owned by Stien's brother Peter Cutter. In 1958 John & Stien bought the Vanderplas 5c to $1.00. They sold the store to Ron and Vicki ABBS in 1978 and retired to a new home in the north end of Paisley.
